we welcome all with an interest in aviation
We are pilots and non-pilots together
Many of our members are pilots and enjoy flying to IFFR meetings. But we welcome equally non-flying members who enjoy aviation in all its guises. Our members fly planes, gliders, helicopters, balloons – some IFR and some VFR.
We have a wide range of aviation related activities
We hold fly-ins and fly-outs, visits to aviation related organisations, hold talks and discussions about aviation related subjects – and we have a booth at the House of Friendship at the Rotary International convention each year!
IFFR brings aviation and Rotary together
Our object is to promote the objects of Rotary through our shared interest in aviation, fostering high ethical and safety standards in all aspects of aviation.

We’re one of the oldest and biggest Fellowships
Originally formed in 1965 in Seattle, USA, we now have around 1700 members worldwide: IFFR UK was formed in 1966.
Our members are part of a global family
Membership is open to Rotarians, Rotaractors, Rotary International Alumni and close family relations of Rotary members. Our members belong to sections (such as IFFR UK) in one of three regions (Europe, Americas and Australasia). We have members in nearly 60 countries!
We promote Rotary ideals around the world
With a widespread membership, we are perfectly placed to help further the ideals of Rotary, including international understanding, throughout the world.
